Who needs coffee when you can have ginger infused water in the morning to wake you up? This is one of the biggest changes I’ve made since switching to a healthier lifestyle. I used to be addicted to caffeine—coffee, energy drinks, tea—you name it. It came to the point where I could no longer function without my caffeine fix, so I knew I had to make a change. Fortunately, I’ve found healthier swaps that also serve to wake me up in the morning. One such ingredient that does that for me is ginger. The spiciness and aroma of ginger never fails, and with lemon and honey, it’s really a very tasty drink. There’s a zing to it of course, but that’s why it makes such a great morning tonic.

Morning Lemon Ginger Water Wake Up Drink (Try this!)
- Total Time: 3 minutes
- Yield: 2 1x
3 cups purified water
2 organic lemons, cut into slices
2 inch ginger piece, grated and peeled
2 tsp organic raw honey
- Add the ingredients into a pitcher, mix well and let sit overnight at room temperature.
- In the morning strain and serve.
