Ever since I switched to a healthier diet, I haven’t been as gassy or bloated as before. I think it’s because I cut out a lot of allergens and intolerances that I never realized I had. One of the drinks I loved at the time when I was transitioning was this turmeric and lemon water for bloating. It helped me drop a couple of inches from my waist that I didn’t realize I was carrying from excess water retention. It’s made with turmeric powder, lemon juice, lemon, organic raw honey and some ginger. These ingredients have anti-inflammatory properties as well as some diuretic properties as well, so it’s no wonder they made me feel so much better.

How to Make Turmeric and Lemon Water for Gas and Bloating
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: 2 1x
3 cups purified water
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 lemon, cut into slices
2 tsp organic raw honey
1 inch ginger piece, grated
- Add all the ingredients (except honey and lemon) into a medium pot and bring to boil over medium heat.
- Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, then remove and set aside to cool.
- Strain and mix with lemon juice and honey.
- Serve at room temperature, with lemon slices.
