Spicy food has long been touted as a way to help increase weight loss but not many people are aware of the mechanism behind it. Spicy foods contain a compound called capsaicin, which has been shown to increase metabolic rate in individuals. If you have spicy foods regularly, you’re continuously stimulating the metabolism, albeit in a very small way. For me, that’s more than enough especially since I also try to get in a workout when I can. If you’re anything like me, this would make a great addition to your diet regimen.

- Add all the ingredients into a pitcher and refrigerate overnight before serving.
