Turmeric Carrot Soup for Skin

Vitamin-Rich Turmeric Soup for Healthy Skin

Ingredients

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ pounds carrot, peeled and chopped

½ inch fresh ginger, peeled and grated or ½ tsp ground ginger

½ inch fresh turmeric, peeled and grated or ½ tsp ground turmeric

½ tsp ground cinnamon

pinch of cayenne pepper

3 cups homemade bone broth

2 cups water

salt, black pepper to taste

chopped fresh cilantro or parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large pot heat the coconut oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and cook for 4-5 minutes or until softened and translucent.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the carrots and spices and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the bone broth and water and bring the soup to a low boil.
  6. Cover with a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the carrots are fork tender.
  7. Remove from the heat.
  8. Transfer the soup into a blender and blend until smooth.
  9. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
  10. Serve warm with chopped parsley or cilantro.
