How to Make Collagen-Rich Instant Pot Bone Broth (Easy Recipe)

Ingredients

2 pounds beef bones

1 tbsp olive oil 

2 onions, peeled

2 celery stalks

2 carrots

2 garlic cloves, peeled

1 tsp black peppercorns

8 cups water

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Press the SAUTE button on the Instant Pot and let stand until screen reads “HOT”.
  2. Add the olive oil. 
  3. Add the bones. 
  4. Brown the bones. (If necessary do it in batches.)
  5. Add the remaining ingredients.
  6. Close and seal the Instant pot. 
  7. Turn the venting knob to SEALING and press PRESSURE COOK button. 
  8. Adjust the timer to 2 hours. 
  9. When finished cooking, allow to naturally release the pressure. 
  10. Let cool slightly.
  11. Strain the broth using a fine metal strainer. 
  12. Transfer the bone broth into an airtight containers or jars and refrigerate promptly.
  13. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for later use.
