Chocolate Avocado Ice Cream – 6-Ingredient Dairy-Free Ice Cream

1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted 

¼ cup unsweetened almond milk 

1 tbsp melted coconut oil 

4 tbsp maple syrup or honey 

2 tbsp cacao powder 

2 tsp vanilla extract 

For decoration (optional):

cacao nibs   


  1. Add the avocado flesh, almond milk, coconut oil, maple syrup, cacao powder and vanilla extract into a food processor and process until smooth.  
  2. Pour the mixture in a freezer-safe container and freeze for 3 hours, mixing well every 30 minutes. 
  3. Scoop into a serving glasses or bowls, sprinkle with cacao nibs (if using) and serve.
