Bone Broth Protein Drink

Collagen-Rich Bone Broth Protein Drink (For Healing and Recovery)

Ingredients

4lb bones of choice

3 carrots

3 ribs of celery

1 yellow onion

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Add the bones and cook for 10 minutes to remove any impurities.
  3. Remove from the heat and drain.
  4. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  5. Place the bones on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven.
  7. Transfer the bones into a slow cooker or a large stock pot.
  8. Add the onion, carrot and celery.
  9. Fill with water to cover all the bones completely.
  10. Add the apple cider vinegar and salt.
  11. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 24 hours.
  12. Strain using a fine metal strainer.
  13. Serve warm in a mug.
  14. Transfer the rest of bone broth into an airtight containers or jars and refrigerate promptly.
  15. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for later use.
