  1. In a large Dutch oven heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and cook for 4-5 minutes or until or until softened and translucent.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the beef and cook until no longer pink.
  5. Add the peppers and carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the bone broth, chopped tomatoes, oregano, thyme, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, cinnamon, cacao powder and tomato paste.
  7. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 1 ½ -2 hours. 
  8. Stir in the hemp hearts.
  9. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
  10. Serve warm with sour cream and sliced green onions.
